Over the past week, developerTeam Ninjamade headlines with their big surprise, announcing that their highly praised samurai-souls action-RPG:Nioh,will be making its way to thePCplatform. It will be available digitally through Steam, as thepreviously revealed,Nioh: Complete Edition,which contains the base game and all three of the previously releasedDLCincluding:“Dragon of the North“,“Defiant Honor“, and the latest“Bloodshed’s End“. The PC version will have two of the threeVisual Modesfound on the PlayStation 4. There’s “Action Mode”, which keepsNiohat a stable frame-rate of60fps, and a cinematic “Movie Mode” that supports resolutions up to4K, but at a cost of performance.
Team Ninja’s Game Director ‘Fumihiko Yasuda’ made a statement saying that they were well aware of the fervent requests among PC gamers to haveNiohon their platform.
“I am thrilled to announce that thismasocore gamewill finally be available for our die-hard PC fans inNioh: Complete Edition! I hope you all enjoy the unforgettable drama and deeply challenging Yokai battles this action-packed experience has to offer.”
The celebrate the upcoming release ofNioh: Complete Edition,a new piece ofhead armorcalled theDharmachakra Kabuto Helmetwill be included in the game, also offered in the PC version. The annual “Return ToLordran” event for the original brutal action-RPG,Dark Soulsfrom FromSoftware, officially began last wednesday, onOctober 4th. Players worldwide have once again repopulated the harsh world ofDark Soulswithsummon signs, redphantomsandtreacherous orange messages. It is being hosted by the Dark Souls community over on Reddit, and this year marks the second time this month-long event is being held. It is filled with community driven activities, such as bePvPandjolly co-operation, as well as speedruns and much more. The “Return To Lordran” event will continue up untilOctober 24th. In other news, theDivinity: Original Sin 2 Wikicontinues to grow and expand averaging nearly 5000 users online at any given time, which by comparison, is nearly double the subreddit for the game. Since the launch of the game the wiki has received thousands of edits and 10s of thousands of comments, making it the most used source of information aboutDivinity: Original Sin 2around the internet. The highly-acclaimedThe Witcherfranchise from studio CD Projekt has a six part documentary mini-series currently underway, exploring the now legendary trilogy in a different light. The documentary is produced by a crowdfundedPatreoncampaign, and it is made by YouTube channel,NoClip. The channel is spearheaded by popular games journalist, ‘Danny O’Dwyer’, whose work is known for illustrating the video games industry in different angles, unraveling new information many of us may not have known. He has also made documentaries on other titles such asFinal Fantasy XIV,DOOMandRocket Leagueamong others.
In the first episode of the6 part mini-series, O’Dwyer, its host, travels to Warsaw, in Poland. Conducting an interview with the co-founder of CD Projekt Red, Marcin Iwiński who talks about his early life in socialist Poland, and the founding of CD Projekt itself. More onThe Witcher, PlayStaion 4 Pro owners can now take advantage of the extra processing power of their system. As promised the patch forThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,is now available for download, and as the name suggests, this upgrade increases the resolution of an already beautiful game all the way up to 4K. Announced on the games’ official Twitter account, theThe Elder Scrolls Onlinewill receiveXbox One Xsupport once the anticipatedUpdate 16launches. Its been reported that the Xbox One X will run the game at 4K resolution, at a framerate of 30fps, along with additional “graphic enhancements”. The upcoming Update 16 will include the latestDLCcalled:Clockwork City, themechanical wonderland ofSotha Siland will have the much toutedTransmutationfeature, where players would be able to modify the Traits of theirequipment.
