Since Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in early access, the game has seen a number of updates including the addition of new playable classes theBarbarianandBard. If you’re eager to play the game, the early access version is currently available on Steam. It’s roughly one-third of the full game according to the devs, so there will be plenty to look forward to next year.
A collector’s edition was also revealed which you can pre-order now which contains a treasure trove of items such as character sheets, hardcover art book, a Mindflayer vs Drow Battle Diorama, Baldur’s Gate 3 D20 dice, and more. It will be limited to 25,000 units worldwide, priced at $270 USD.
In the next instalment, players will face new unseen worlds with plenty of deadly inhabitants to face. Expect branching questlines, an expanded Archetype class system, and plenty of weapons at your disposal. The three-player co-op shooter will mix “methodical and frenetic ranged and melee combat” into one action-packed package.
A new trailer for upcoming Final Fantasy 16 was premiered at The Game Awards, which also revealed the release date of June 22nd. The Playstation 5 exclusive was showcased by producer Naoki Yoshida who introduced the trailer called “Revenge”. This much darker rendition of a Final Fantasy title has plenty of action and political drama.
In case you missed it, FF16 takes a different tact when it comes to gameplay in this entry as the Dominants have the ability to channel Eikon’s powers. This will shake up combat as the main character Clive can switch between martial art type combat with these amazing powers. It also shows more of the world as well as the action-based combat systems.
A spooky-looking trailer was revealed forBanishers: Ghosts of New Eden. This title follows ghost hunters Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith who protect the living from the otherworldly spirits in 1695’s North America. On their last mission things don’t exactly go to plan, and Antea becomes one of the spirits she loathes. Together they will try to find a way to free Antea.
The trailer certainly provides a lot of intrigue, as we see ghostly creatures, magic, melee weapons and some spiritual powers. This Action-RPG comes from the Life is Strange developer DON’T NOD who are well known for their interesting narratives with choice-based gameplay and this title looks to be no exception. Having combat against the supernatural already has us curious about the gameplay.
The dark fantasy Action-RPG Lords of the Fallen got a gameplay trailer featuring the hack and slash combat. The title is shaping up to have some highly detailed visuals with some unnerving locations. The enemies also look terrifying with one boss seemingly crawling on all fours. Playing as a Dark Crusader, your role will be to embark upon a quest to overthrow the demon lord Adyr.
Developer Airship Syndicate behind such games as Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, have unveiled their next online Action-RPG calledWayfinder. A character-based title which follows these Wayfinders who are tasked with fighting the Gloom and it’s influence. The world of Evenor is affected by this crisis which has in turned fractured the world.
Players will get a choice of different characters to fight these evil forces, each with their own unique path to take. Characters have a range of different playstyles and abilities which sounds similar to the likes of games such asGenshin ImpactorTower of Fantasy, but more of an emphasis on character backgrounds being the driving force of the narrative.
Making use of the ancient artifact the Gloom Dagger, players will adventure into the Lost Zones, dungeon-like areas that are fully under the effects of the Gloom. This causes the area to change and chaos to reign. The dagger will dictate the type of mutations at hand, including enemy encounters, items and resources to gain. But it won’t be that easy, as the Gloom has a way of “pushing back” causing its own set of augmentations and modifiers.
Another announcement was for the official news of the demo for Forspoken. The magic Action-RPG has gotten a demo which is available on Playstation 5. During The Game Awards we saw a brand new trailer announcing this news which previewed more of the influence of the Break, a mysterious force that is corrupting the lands of Athia.
