According to YouTube creatorSanadsk, some datamining ofDark Souls 3‘s files has revealed the potential name of the game’s second and finalDLC.
Taking a look through the game’s files, he came across a line labeled: DLC2_MIYAKONOMOUJA. Miyako no Mouja is Japanese and translates toCity of the DeadorDead Capital. Without the kanji it’s tough to be completely certain because as many kanji share the same sounds, you can say something that sounds one way but infers another through the symbols. This is a start however and should allow for enough speculation.
If it is City of the Dead or a variation along that theme, it’s possible we are going to be making a visit toLondor, which some have speculated and hoped for. This make sense given the characters in the game connected to the land such asYuria,Elfriede, andYoeland how prominently they feature in the game’s story. Perhaps we’ll be seeing some dark themedweapons, armorandspellsto compliment our builds.
Ashes of Ariandelwas the most recent DLC to release, all the way back in October and we’re anxiously awaiting confirmation of when this second one will drop. We’ll be sure to report as soon as it’s announced. As always, keep checking in with us for updates and news on Dark Souls 3 and more!

If it is City of the Dead …
Nonsense! We know nothing, except for the fact that information is coming eventually. This is the perfect time for wild speculation.
It Depends On if they Overhaul those Attacks.
Another Possibility Is Having a ramped up Soul of Cinder type of Fight by Fighting multiple Lords of Hollows.
I have to stop myself before I start Wildly Speculating.
Eh. Until I see real stuff like screenshots or a trailer, I don’t feel like anything is different. We all saw this coming months ago, right?
I don’t remember them ever referring to Londor as “city of the dead”, but it is called a city of hollows (much like New Londo was). There are lots of connections in DaS3 tying Londor to New Londo, but not so much to Anor Londo.
Ehh… I saw Kaathe’s unused attack animations in DaS1. Maybe not so much…
I had an idea about bonfire mimics a long time ago.
Sounds Like Another Theme With Sisters. I’m guessing we will fight the third Sister.
Something I would Like to see is That given the name of the area being City Of The Dead, that there is a Connection to Nito Somehow. But I doubt there will be one.
Here’s to hoping we finally get a Boss Fight against a Primordial Serpent too.
It’s another trick. The next DLC will be a ginormous blightown that takes place on a remote island that has nothing to do with anything, and all bonfires are mimics.
Can we start the hype train now? And quick question. Not to take translations literally but does Yuria or Yoll ever refer to Londor as “city of the dead”? Or anything similar? Is that an older reference to New Londo or Anor Londo?
