RPG powerhouseBethesda Game Studios, creator of the belovedFalloutandThe Elder Scrollsfranchises may be working on aGame of Thronesgame title based on an unfinished page onTarget’swebsite.
TheTarget page, which was first spotted by aNeoGAF user, is still up and has not been taken down as of this publication.
There isn’t much to see aside from a large header that says: “Bethesda Game of Thrones” and the category labels point that it’s meant to be a featured product but take note that there isnothinglabeling this as a video game. You can see a screenshot below:
Bethesda having dabbled in the medieval setting teeming with dragons and sorcery in the likes of their Elder Scrolls franchise may just be the studio to give us a proper Game of Thrones title on the same standard akin to its TV series. Though this listing confirms nothing, we do know Bethesda has been keeping at least five projects under wraps.
“We have two larger projects that are more classically the scale of what we do, but even bigger,” studio director Todd Howard said earlier this year.
This listing may have been purely by mistake, but it isn’t too far-fetched. We may get announcement soon to clarify what this really is considering the wrap up of season 7 for the Game of Thrones TV series.

mmos suck. therefore would prefer single player. don’t think single player with online elements would work well.theory: game is crash grab to fund huge VR game that would be released in 6-7 years.

Well in a way the main story is. What I enjoy about the idea of an mmo for this game is that we could choose a house as our faction and actively fight in the war for it, and travel the entire world not just the seven kingdoms. A single player game would be great, but the ESO pvp and dungeoning has made it a lot of fun for me to keep playing the campaigns and adds a social aspect that I think would match westeros wonderfully.
I also want dark souls online. Deal with it people! Mwahahaha.
who says anything about linear? Is Elder Scrolls linear?
There was a GOT single player game and it was sooo meh. I’d love an MMO that gives us the options to explore the entire world of GOT rather than follow a small linear story
