Rumors Suggest PlayStation Is Developing a Bloodborne Sequel

Bloodbornemight be making a comeback, according to a insider who claims that FromSoftware and PlayStation are already working on either a remaster or a sequel to the acclaimed soulslike.

All signs point to September being a significant month for PS5 owners, as Sony is reportedly preparing to broadcast a new State of Play to further expand the current-generation console’s catalog, in addition to presenting the PS5 Pro.

The Japanese company might have several surprises in store to create a buzz among users, although there are questions about what their major studios are working on. Nevertheless, this event could be the stage for the most anticipated return in the community.

FromSoftware’s masterpiece, has become one of the most demanded titles for a return to PS5 and PC. One of the most reputable leakers in the industry, Daniel Richtman, who has a high success rate, claims that PlayStation is developing an unannounced project related to Bloodborne.

He doesn’t specify whether it’s a sequel or a remaster, but he is sure that it’s a real project that could be announced soon. Therefore, we’ll have to see if the State of Play planned for the end of September ends up delivering the most eagerly awaited return.

It’s worth mentioning that a few months ago, there were also talks about the possibility of a Bloodborne remake being in the works, alongside the release of the PS6, so it could be related to that. Additionally, BluePoint Games’ next project is still up in the air, and it has also been linked to Bloodborne. The possibilities are numerous, but for now, this is just a rumor and should be taken as such.

A recent post on PlayStation’s Italian account sparked some excitement among Bloodborne fans a few weeks ago. The post referenced the popular FromSoftware game and included a hashtag related to the PS5, which is curious since the game is not natively available on that console.

This small detail has fueled speculation within the PlayStation community, leading to questions about whether this could be a hint at Bloodborne’s return through a remake, remaster, or some form of update for the PS5.

The possibility of an announcement related to this in a future PlayStation Showcase in September has further fueled these rumors. However, it’s also possible that it was simply an error by the Italian account, without necessarily implying anything concrete. The community is now eagerly waiting for more information to confirm or debunk these speculations.
