Rumour: Dragon’s Dogma 2 Demo Could Be Available Soon

Capcom could be releasing a demo soon for Dragon’s Dogma 2 according to the Steam listing backend.

Capcom could be readying to release a demo for upcomingAction-RPGDragon’s Dogma 2. With the launch of Dragon’s Dogma 2 just over a month away, the studio has been releasing trailers focusing on each of the vocations available in the sequel. But changes on Steam might have indicated we could be seeing a demo soon.

According to the changelist on SteamDB (which was posted on the DD2 subreddit by u/CannedBeanofDeath) sets the Billing Type as “Free on Demand”, this could indicate that a demo is in the works. The Steam page was recently updated to add a new package type.

While the package details don’t indicate what the “unknown app” is, it has led fans to believe Capcom might be on the cusp of releasing a demo. In the past, DD2 has received playable demos at recent gaming conventions (including our own hands-on experience). So a demo wouldn’t be inconceivable and could be similar to the limited demo shown before. It could be an expanded version that would end up transferring progress to the full version of the game. Check out our gameplay below:

The excitement for the upcoming second entry has been building as the studio has been unveiling new information aboutVocationsincluding the brand new vocation theWarfarer. This vocation is built around being a class or jack of all trades, but it is compensated with lower stats. The Arisen exclusive class will unleash powerful combos, even using Trickster skills as part of its arsenal. We also learnt aboutVocation Maisterswho can teach new skills and their own vocation.

If you have yet to play the first Dragon’s Dogma, firstly it’s a must! We have a great video that breaks downwhy the game is so iconicand will definitely gear you up for the approach of the sequel.
