Rumour: Horizon MMORPG is Being Developed by Guild Wars Publisher
A recent Korean publication has reported that an MMORPG is being developed based on the Playstation IP Horizon.
According to a recent publication called MTN, anMMORPGis being developed by Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 publisher NCSoft in South Korea. The game is based on Playstation’s hit IP Horizon. The game is currently under the codename “Project H” in recent job listings.
There doesn’t seem to be much else to go on but what could a Horizon MMORPG look like? It could have world events that include partying up with other players to down massive machines in aMonster Hunter Rise-styled encounter. As it could involve a whole new world to explore with other players, new regions or even biomes could be an option. As each player will be able see to each other in the game, fully customisable characters where you can choose which tribe you belong to would be interesting. Whether that would be joining the Carja, the Oseram or Aloy’s tribe the Nora.
There are also rumours recently that Horizon Zero Dawn remake or remaster floating around. Of course, nothing has been confirmed or officially announced. Sony have also mentioned an interest in live service games previously. However, they are planning to continue to invest into single-player-based games as part of their lineup.
Recently Sony announced that they would be releasing their headset PS VR2 in February next year. Exclusive VR content calledHorizon Call of the Mountainwill also be getting a special edition.
