Sand Land, the ARPG Based on Akira Toriyama’s Manga, Has a Free Demo Out Now

Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc. has begun distributing a demo ofSand Land, an action RPG based on the manga by Akira Toriyama.

These past few days have been quite tough for fans ofAkira Toriyama’swork due to the sudden passing of the mangaka, but, as they say, the wheel keeps turning. Toriyama’s work continues to expand in different areas, although in this case it’s not so much about Dragon Ball, but rather Sand Land.

In news that caught everyone by surprise,Bandai Namcohas released a free demo ofSand Landfor all platforms the game is releasing on, namely Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. This has also been accompanied by a new preview of the game which showcases both the combat and the world that players will be able to discover in this new video game

It is worth noting that progress and data from theSand Land demowill not be transferred to the full game. However, playing the demo will offer some bonus elements that will serve to improve a vehicle in the full release.

In this demo, we can only explore a limited area of theSand Landmap, and the same can be said for character and vehicle actions.

Sand Landwill arrive on PC, Steam Deck, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on April 26th, but Bandai wants us to experience their world a little earlier, and therefore they release the demo.

Some additional news! Starting tomorrow, March 20th, we will be able to enjoy Sand Land: The Series onDisney + and Hulu. This is an adaptation of the movie released in Japan last year, and it will have a total of 13 episodes, with only seven premiering on the mentioned day. A new episode will be released every Wednesday, and the series will conclude in May. The events of the movie will be recounted, but these weekly episodes will see the plot expanded in some way thanks to Akira Toriyama’s contribution.

With those upcoming release ofSand Landadaptions and Dragon Ball Daima on the horizon, fans can rest assured that the legacy of Akira Toriyama will remain tangible for years to come.
