Seekers of Skyveil A Co-op Fantasy Extraction ARPG Announced

New indie title Seekers of Skyveil revealed as an Action-RPG where PvPvE meets fantasy extraction.

Newly announced indieAction-RPGSeekers of Skyveil was revealed recently. Previously known as Project Skies the game combines “PvPvE fantasy extraction RPG” with the combat mechanics of an ARPG. Players will team up as “Seekers” who are put into a fantasy world in search of loot and treasure. But time is of the essence, to complete tasks before the extraction point turns up. Together, teams will vy to gather their loot and make it in time or face losing their precious finds.

Originally planned as a more traditional ARPG such asDiablo 4, but with a PvPvE mode, the game has since transformed its focus onto the competitive side. Co-founder and CEO of Elodie Games David Banks explained that the team perceived more interest in this mix of genres through playtesting. Seekers of Skyveil gained a more “fleshed-out” version of the mode, utilising the extraction mechanic.

Elodie Games looks to be taking an “opportunity” to bring some a bit different to the genre, which takes on more of a fantasy form. Their aim is focus on a high-paced thrill ride with MOBA-styled combat which hopefully keep things “fresh”. Extraction-type games such as Escape from Tarkov are definitely on the more realistic serious side. Seekers could provide the whimsy of fantasy for those more keen on this kind of setting.
