In The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island it will be a high-risk, high-reward kind of game. If you fail, you will lose all your gear and levels, essentially starting over your run at level 1. As the title suggests, players will be venturing forth into the mystery dungeon which will continue to change as you playthrough. “Rise and rise again” certainly sounds more positive than die, die and die again, but has a similar mentality of battling and finally succeeding. The entry sets to put things “back to basics” and features turn-based combat.

The artstyle is quite different fromShiren The Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fatewhich took on a more retro pixel art style.
