Square Enix and Platinum Games hosted their second official livestream forNier: Automatatoday, and went over some of the mechanics the game will feature. You can watch the stream below, with gameplay starting at 11:54:
The stream begins with a playthrough of the now released PS4demoof the game, which follows one of the playablecharacters,2B, as she makes her way through an abandoned factory, dispatchingenemiesuntil her encounter with the demo’sGoliathbosswith a little help from her colleague, 9S.
Afterwards, they dig into some of the specific mechanics of the game, such asquests, a run through of thePlug-in Chipssystem, and some gameplay of the collaborationweapons, theEngine BladefromFinal Fantasy XVand theCypress Stickfrom Dragon Quest.
