S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Gets Its Third Patch in Less Than a Week
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2,the open-world action game byGSC Game World, continues to improve and update quickly, addressing major issues since its launch on November 20.
The fourth installment of the series hit the market with some technical problems and bugs, which the developers promised to work hard to resolve as soon as possible with various updates and patches.
In just over a week, the game has already received several updates, with patch 1.0.3 now available. The patch weighs about 20 GB on PC and 7.91 GB on Xbox Series X/S, addressing several crashes, memory issues, and making adjustments to controls and both main and side missions, among other improvements.
Patch 1.0.3 resolves multiple issues related to crashes and memory leaks. It also tweaks controls, disabling mouse smoothing and acceleration by default—something many players had complained about. Additionally, default mouse sensitivity values have been updated.
Numerous issues with main and side missions have been fixed, along with errors involving enemy and NPC AI. The patch also addresses a bug causing saved games to disappear after fully restarting the game on PC and Xbox.
“Thank you again for your support. We will continue working on future updates, reviewing your feedback and suggestions, and fixing any ‘anomalies’ that arise,” stated GSC Game World in the patch notes.
Alongside these quick fixes, the developers have promised more details in December about new free content coming to the game. Soon, we’ll learn the roadmap forS.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobylfor the upcoming months.

According to your feedback, we adjusted following parameters/values to decrease input lag on keyboard+mouse input:Mouse Smoothing is disabled by default.Mouse Acceleration is disabled by default.
Additionally, default values of mouse sensitivity were updated to allow a predictable default experience for our players with new values of two parameters mentioned bellow:Camera sensitivity: 25%.Aim sensitivity: 15%.
Fixed an issue with mutant bodies stretching after a shot from an automatic weapon.Fixed an issue that caused NPCs to block the doors during the Back to the Slag Heap mission.
Fixed issue with Sidorovich not selling certain ammo types.
Fixed issues with missing player saves after a hard reboot of the PC/Xbox.
