Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Returns With a Remaster

Almost 22 years ago,Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, an adventure game set in the Star Wars universe, was released, allowing us to step into the shoes of the Mandalorian Jango Fett. Now, Aspyr Media has announced that the game will be available in a new version coming very soon to all current platforms, where it is already available for pre-order.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunterwill be released on August 1st on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Its story takes place before Episode 2 of Star Wars and allows us to control Jango Fett, “the cloning template for the Grand Army of the Republic, hired to capture a deranged dark Jedi.”

Firstly, we will have enhanced environment textures using topological mapping to create a denser and more modern atmosphere. New lighting effects are also incorporated.

A flashlight has been added to the equipment to compensate for those darker areas that ruined the immersion of the original release, which had generated some criticism in the past. Additionally, as reported by the PlayStation Blog, thePS5benefits from more new features.

Notably, the use of adaptive triggers integrated for each of Jango Fett’s weapons, voice communication so that the character’s radio sounds through the DualSense speaker, and the controller’s light bar combined with the character’s health bar.

As you can already see, Chris Bashaar, product director at Aspyr, has confirmed that the easter egg in the form of a message written in Aurebesh that said “Deliver all bounties to play as Boba” will now become a reality. We will be able to play as Jango’s unaltered clone, Boba Fett, which was not unlockable in the original game but will be available now.

Additionally, today the minimum and recommended requirements for Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on PC have been shared.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter will be released onPS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
