Stellar Bladehas sold over 1 million copies. The action RPG inspired by hits likeBayonettaandNierand developed byShift Upconfirms a PC version with the aim of boosting the game’s sales data, having already sold over a million copies as aPlayStation 5exclusive videogame.
For example,Stellar Bladewas one of the 20 best-selling games in April in the U.S. (despite only having four days to enter the top), and in Japan, it was the best-selling game in its debut week.
Shift Upis already considering a sequel to the title, but first, the game will be released on PC, as we suspected months before the launch.
In a meeting with the media, CFO Ahn Jae-woo revealed the sales thatStellar Bladehas accumulated to date.
Stellar Blade could receivenew outfits for Eve, as well as a photo mode in collaboration with the creators of Nikke: Goddess of Victory. CFO Ahn Jae-woo also confirmed that a PC version is on the way, with the aim of further boosting the action game’s numbers.
The high sales numbers are a very positive for the industry and genre, considering it is a new IP that is only available on PlayStation 5. The exact number is not known, but CFO Ahn Jae-woo is pleasantly surprised by the sales Stellar Blade has achieved in the U.S., the U.K., and Japan.
