The Division Conflict Update

The next update forThe Division, titledConflictis showing up for dedicatedDark Zoneenthusiasts on May 24th as part of Update 1.2. It is the secondDLCupdate to the game that is free for players, following theIncursionsrelease in April.

Conflict adds a new Incursion to the game called Clear Sky, which takes place in Columbus Circle. Pitting players against Rikers, Clear Sky challenges you to take back a formerly LMB-controlled anti-air missile site, restore safe passage to the skies over Manhattan, and reclaim supply drops stolen by Rikers. It will also add some newgear, weaponsand activities to engage in. A particulary notable enhancement is the addition of a hijack feature for Dark Zone extractions.

Another new feature coming in the Conflict update is high-value targets, known as HVT. There will be an HVT officer inside your base of operations who will provide you with a list targets, as well as their details and level as well as recommended gear score you need to engage them. You’ll have a limited amount of time and will only get one chance to eradicate these hostile baddies.

As for the Dark Zone other players will now have the option to hijack your loot. During an extraction a player can run up to the rope and cut it, dropping all of the loot to the ground for others to pick up. If extractions weren’t harrowing enough already, this should make for quite the twitchy chaos.

After Conflict, Ubisoft will release expansions calledUnderground,SurvivalandLast Standat later dates which will all be paid expansions covered by the Season Pass. Details on them are sparse, but once we get some, we’ll be certain to bring updates.

Things are beginning to round into shape for The Division in its post launch life, as Ubisoft Massive continues to refine the game with updates and fixes. Liking what you see so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.

Division screwed itself with patch 1.1 too. 80% of the playerbase left basically.

Also Destiny was a complete and utter rip off. Game practically costed me over 300R$ (Brazil money.) because of sheer DLC and expansion pack NOT INCLUDED IN THE SEASON PASS.

Destiny was awful. Practically killed itself.

They keep releasing updates the days big games release! Overwatch is gonna completely overshadow it >.<

It’d want some major changes because the game is practically dead at the moment. Destiny killer my butt.
