The Division to Receive a Public Test Server and Quality of Life Update
Ubisoft Massive is planning to deliver a Public Test Server to PC players ofThe Division, with the goal to deliver updates in a fashion that can be tested and ironed out before deploying to the masses. Though details on theirblog postwere sparse, the announcement comes as a first step to address player complaints with post launch support and base game concerns.
In lieue of these pieces of content, Ubisoft Massive is working on the substantial Update 1.4 to address what it defines as their “most pressing issues”, many of which are gathered from extensive user feedback. The exact details of what is coming in the update will be released in a livestream event on September 13th, but in the interim, here are some of the key points the update will address:
The Division broke sales records when it released in March of this year, so taking action like this preemptive of DLC is an attempt to reconnect with what may be an increasingly alienated player base. We’ll continue to monitor the progress of these changes, so keep checking back for more updates.

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.
I wouldn’t say it’s full of trolls. There are a lot of people there who are looking for honest, balanced PvP, but the game doesn’t allow this and honestly probably never will. It will be the one thing that holds this game back from being great. There just isn’t enough content on the PvE side to keep most players interested. I used to be a huge proponent for The Division, but I haven’t logged on in over 3 weeks. Since the 1.4 update doesn’t drop until late October, there is literally no reason to play until then.
I really haven’t seen anyone playing this recently, but I’m glad to see the devs finally step up and try to fix things.
Better late than never the dark zone is full of trolls imo.
