The Elder Scrolls Online Introduces the New Warden Class

TheElder Scrolls Onlinehave given players an introduction to the newWardenclassthat is releasing with theMorrowindexpansion on June 6th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The Warden class is an adaptable, support-orientated option for players who want to be able to fill a specific role while simultaneously providing assistance to others. If you are interested in a class that uses the wilds of Tamriel to protect, heal, or deal damage (occasionally all at the same time) the Warden is for you.

Wardens can summon fierce animals, sprout healing plants from the ground, or cloak themselves and others in protective ice and their visual style is designed after these wild and natural properties. This class will give players an opportunity to engage in the nature based fantasy many look for but is not present in the current 4 classes. The Warden’s threeskilllines,Winter’s Embrace,Green BalanceandAnimal Companionsare all ally focused lines that do things like buff your party’s defense, increase their attributes or boost elements like Magicka and Stamina regen in addition to summoning some impressive beasts.

The new skill lines are more clearly labeled to make it easier to understand their focuses, but the class itself will require some finesse when using those skills. It will require precise timing and positioning to get some of these skills to work as intended. While some of the otherclasseshad skills more tied toweapons, the Warden’s skills will be much more straightforward and the variety between the different lines will allow for a variety ofbuilds. Animal Companions focuses more on damage, Green Balance focuses on healing, and Winter’s Embrace is a tanking focused line, allowing for newcomers and veterans options for designing their own customized playstyle.

Sounds like fun! Planning to pick up the Morrowind expansion when it drops in 2 months? If you haven’t tried the game yet, there’s afree to play weekendcoming tomorrow for all platforms which will give you plenty of time to dig into what the game is all about.
