Even though viewers can find out what will happen in season 2 by playing “The Last of Us 2,” Sony is opting to keep the events of these new episodes a complete mystery to catch the audience off guard. The first season left a mark on HBO, and it seems this second one will do the same, possibly having an even greater impact.
The promotional poster features a welcome sign to Seattle, where the plot will unfold, with a style very similar to the posters of Raccoon City and the aforementioned Silent Hill, with a dark, rainy atmosphere focused on pure horror.
“The Last of Us” begins 20 years after modern civilization has collapsed. A fungus, Cordyceps unilateralis, has led humanity to destruction in a matter of weeks, ravaging entire countries and condemning survivors to a miserable existence in safe zones run by the Federal Disaster Response Agency (F.E.D.R.A.), a government organization operating in the United States. There is no specific release date for season 2 yet, but important news will surely be coming soon.
