The recently released images show Pascal standing outside at night, speaking to someone with their back to the camera. The atmosphere appears tense, suggesting that Joel is in a dangerous situation. Ellie, on the other hand, seems to be sneaking into a building with her weapon ready to fire in case something goes wrong.
Among the most anticipated new characters isAbby, a young woman around 20 years old seeking revenge for her father’s death. Her quest for justice has led her on a perilous journey that will intersect with the paths of Ellie and Joel. The actress confirmed to portray her is Kaitlyn Dever, known for her roles inBooksmartandNo One Will Save You.
The cast of season 2 also includes the return of Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Joel’s brother, and Rutina Wesley as Maria, Tommy’s wife. Joining the cast are Isabela Merced, Mazin, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, and Danny Ramirez. Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara will have a special guest appearance.
Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the creators of the video game and writers of the series, return as executive producers and showrunners. Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells also serve as executive producers.
