Focus Home interactive and Deck 13 have announced that their upcoming action RPGThe Surgehas gone gold and will release as planned for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 16th. The dystopic sci-fi game from theLords of the Fallendevelopers has drawn comparisons toBloodbornebut add its own convention with a limb targeting combat system that lets you hack parts off of your mech foes and equip them on yourself.
Furthermore, they have outlined the plans for the game’s PS4 Pro support which will come via a post game patch. The first free update will be available on the day of the game’s release, and will allow you to choose between the following two options:

May 16th? Really? That’s a month off. Seems quite long to release for a game that is supposedly finished.
