The Technomancer E3 Trailer
Focus Home Interactive and developer Spiders have released the pre-E3 trailer for The Technomancer, their upcoming sci-fi RPG. Using the riveting classic song, “House of the Rising Sun” to illustrate the Martian landscape players will journey through, the trailer gives viewers a closer look at the narrative themes we can expect.
Mars is a barren wasteland that is home to the forgotten children of Earth. On the surface, warring corporations fight wars from their massive domed cities for one resource: water. Underground, hidden between the crags or in unexplored valleys, you will factions struggling for their own profit, or mutants permanently changed by the sun’s radiation and hated by the rest of humankind.
Players will play as a Technomancer namedZachariah– a formidable warrior harnessing destructive electrical powers. Along with theircompanionswho can be interacted and evenromancedsimilar toMass Effect, players can choose between diplomacy, combat, or trickery to completequests. Defeating enemies and completing quests gain experience to level up your character, where you can learn newskillsor upgrade perks across 4 unique skill trees. As a further layer of customization, thecrafting systemenables players to create more powerfulequipmentandweaponryfor themselves and their companions.
The Technomancer releases on June 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. But before then, we’ll be getting some up close and personal time with the game at E3 next week! The trailer looks nice, the premise is pretty good too. Kinda Mad Max-ish. Which is nice.Also, romance. Could this be a new Witcher game? Where the romance scenes are worth everything you do? ROFL.
