The Thaumaturge Story-Rich Turn-Based RPG Gets Demo & December Launch Window
The new trailer follows the main protagonist Wiktor as they return to Warsaw after a lengthy absence. Cursed with a power that runs in the family, they use spiritual abilities to unlock truths. But it isn’t all supernatural powers, sometimes he has to use weapons to fight off unruly foes. The top-down view lets you see the bustling city from a great angle, observing everything that’s going on.
In case you missed it The Thaumaturge is set in 20th-century Warsaw Poland. A mix of ancestries under the pressure of the Russian tsardom. The city is a lively metropolis, full of merchants, soldiers, townspeople and more. Within this city of dreams are those with the ability to tame spirits or Salutors. Only Thaumaturges can assess Salutor’s true nature and essence. This power does come with a dark side and should be used with caution.
Players will encounterturn-based battlesin a narrative-driven isometric RPG. Being a Thaumaturge allows players to navigate different situations in numerous ways. Taming Salutors will unlock unique skills to gain an advantage when exploring the world and in combat.
This looks to be part detective part supernatural tale, as Wiktor tries to discover what happened to his father’s missing grimoire. Perhaps his gift or curse will help him get closer to the truth.
