The Witcher 3 Gets Patch Update and Switch Finally Gets Netflix-Inspired DLC
Roughly 8 years after the release of The Witcher 3, the Action-RPG gets a patch update adding fixes and DLC inspired by the Netflix series finally on Switch.
The update comes with a number of platform-specific fixes for PC and consoles. This includes fixing hair appearing brighter than usual when enabling DLSS on PC. As for consoles, this includes fixing pesky textures flickering whilst Gwenting. Next-gen fixes for PC include the added HDR calibration option.
Some minor quality-of-life updates include allowing you to switch potions and apply oils from the radial menu. Now Geralt’s health also won’t rapidly deplete whilst diving. Cross Progression also gained some fixes when it comes to loading saves on multiple machines using the same GOG account.
This update seems to bring the Switch up to par with the additions gained in the next-gen update such as the Quick Sign Casting option. Most notably the Netflix-themed questThe Eternal Fire’s ShadowinVelen.
Back in May this year, CD Projekt Red reported that the popular RPG has nowsurpassed 50 million units sold. The Netflix series has seen a resurgence in interest in the game. The Netflix crossover adds new quests, swords, armor and other items inspired by the live-action series. The latest season is the end of the tenure for lead Henry Cavill as he departs as the main role. The lead will be passed to newGeralt actor Liam Hemsworth in Season 4.
