The next-gen port of The Witcher 3 will finally be releasing this December and will be free for those who already own the game.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed in a tweet that “the next-gen update The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming on December 14.” The studio has yet to share specific details but we can expect “more details” as well as “gameplay” next week during a live stream.

This means the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be released in just one month’s time. There will be an upgrade free for those who have already bought the game. The update will come with numerous visual, performance and technical enhancements for Witcher fans to enjoy. This also includes ray tracing support, “faster loadings times on consoles” as well as “variety of mods integrated into the experience” and more.

The details on integrated mods and other features will be shared during next week’s stream. CDPR have also confirmed all previousDLCincluding new The Witcher Netflix series content will also be released.

Previously the development had shared anext-gen versionof the game that was in development for consoles giving aQ4 release window. Consoles players will get to enjoy the upgrade just in time for Christmas.
