The Witches Festival in The Elder Scrolls Online Begins Tomorrow

Tomorrow, October 13th will mark the beginning ofElder Scrolls Online’sThe Witches Festival, a seasonal event for players of the MMO that will run until November 1st. The event begins at 10 AM EST sharp.

Tamriel’s ancient autumn tradition, The Witches Festival, arrives on the 13thof Frostfall (October 13th), and so begins an annual clash of sorcery and religion. For the remainder of the month, demonologists, conjurors, lamias, warlocks, and thaumaturgists will convene in secret locations throughout the wilds of Tamriel to engage in all manner of incantations, invocations, and conjurations, and the profane creatures they create or summon may plague Tamriel for eons! As spirits stir and the undead rise from ancestral tombs, stalwart adventurers will be tasked with special activities that will reward them with gruesome goodies, terrifying treasures, and awesome achievements.

To participate in the spooky festivities, players can visit the game’s Crown Store to receive the Crow Caller and then use it to obtain The Witchmother’s Bargain quest. Completing the quest earns the Witchmother’s Whistle which can be used to summon the Witchmother’s Cauldron. Once the cauldron is active, you can use it to polymorph you and your party members into Undead looking creatures. The enchantment will last for 2 hours and has unlimited uses until the event’s end on November 1st.

While the polymorph is in effect, killingbossmonsters will earn you a chance to earn some Plunder Skulls. Inside the skulls are special festival loot such as masks, holiday themedprovisioning recipes, the Hollowjackcraftingmotifand others. When the festival ends, the whistle’s powers will fade but you can keep it as a memento of the occasion.

Tis the season for themed festivals, withOverwatchhosting it’s ownHalloween Terrorevent andDestinyplanning it’s own seasonal attraction. Feeling the autumnal vibes? Just starting out with the Elder Scrolls Online? Check out ourclass guide!
