V Rising – All Blood Types in V Rising and Where to Find Them
In this V Rising All Blood Types and Where to Find Them Guide, I’ll be talking about every blood type in the game in detail and how to know which blood type would be best for your playstyle and what you want to do in the game.
As we all know in legends, myths, and popular media, vampires drink blood mainly as their source of life force. V Rising achieves to do this in the game as blood is one of the main resources and mechanics that players should be on the lookout for when playing the game.
Blood is a resource in the game which constantly depletes that players need to replenish. Your character will have aBlood Poolamounting to 10.0L of blood, which will drain at a constant rate. To be able to replenish blood, you will have to feed on humans and creatures that you encounter. These living creatures that you encounter throughout the game will have a specific blood type that when obtained, can give your character passive skills that will have different effects that will benefit your character.
There are also Vampire Powers that drain your blood.Blood Mendheals you for 5% of your max health, at the cost of 0.1L blood drained per second.Expose Veinwill put your character in an immobile state which allows a friendly vampire to drink blood for your neck, sharing your blood type with them, which consumes half of your current blood pool. You will only use these in dire situations, so make sure to have enough Blood Pool when you’re using these powers. Also, make sure to use these in safe locations as you will be vulnerable when casting these.
There are nine differentBlood Typesin the game, and each of these blood types have unique passive effects that will be beneficial for different aspects of the game. There are effects such as increased resource gathering, spell cooldown, gear level boost, and other different passives that you can take advantage of depending on what you want to do in the game.
Every living creature in the game, hostile or not, will have a specific blood type which you can see beside their heath bar at the top of your screen. If you want to be able to acquire their blood type or if you just want to replenish your Blood Pool, you may do so by feeding on them. Before you can feed on an enemy’s blood, you have to bring their HP down to 30% or lower. Feeding on an enemy always refills your Blood Pool to 100%. When you feed on an enemy, not only does it transfer their blood type, but also theirBlood Quality.
Not only should you be on the lookout for the enemy’s Blood Type, but you should be looking out for theBlood Quality. As I mentioned earlier, each blood type will have different passive effects on your character. However, these effects come in five tiers which will be unlocked based on the Blood Quality. The higher the quality of blood, the more passive effects will be unlocked, and the effects’ magnitude will be increased. These are the percentage of the blood quality which will unlock the five tiers.
If you feed on an enemy that has the same blood type as your current, their blood quality will replace yours regardless of the blood quality.Feeding on an enemy with the same blood type you currently have will not add the percentages between them.
There are nine different blood types in V Rising. These blood types have different passive effects on your character which will help make you more effective in the activities that you choose to do. When you first start out in the world of Vardovan, your blood type will beFrail. This has no passive effects, so you have to find a different blood type to replace it. After you go out of the tutorial zone, you will be encountering enemies with different kinds of blood types.
The first blood type,Frail, is the default blood type in V Rising. It has no benefits aside from refilling your Blood Pool to 100%. You will only need this when you have no supply of other blood types.
Where to get theFrailblood type: You can obtain this by consumingratsorTainted Hearts. This will restore a portion of your Blood Pool in exchange for losing your current blood type.
Creatureis a blood type that mostly helps you explore around the map. It has passive effects that increases sun resistance, movement speed, etc., that will give you an advantage when moving around.
Where to get theCreatureblood type: You can obtain this by feeding on the animals (that aren’t rats) around the area. These creatures, such as wolves, spiders, or deer, can be found roaming around the woods.
TheWorkerblood type mostly gives you buffs that are helpful when gathering resources. Passive effects such as increased resource yield and resource damage will save you time when going for resource runs.
Where to get theWorkerblood type: Humans with the Worker blood type are usually found in mines and farms. These humans aren’t hostile, so be careful when you’re trying to lower their HP to 30% as you might accidentally kill them.
Warrior
Warrioris a blood type that enhances your damage-dealing ability. Your physical power, overall damage, skill cooldown are all increased, giving you an advantage in the battlefield.
Where to get theWarriorblood type: Enemies that have the Warrior blood type usually patrol the paths around the map. They can also be found in human settlements, bandit encampments, or grouped up with Brutes and Rogues.
TheScholarblood type increases your capabilities with magic. These can give you spell damage leech, cooldown reduction, etc., that increases your spells’ effectiveness.
Where to get theScholarblood type: You can usually find humans that use magic around Silverlight Hills and its surrounding areas.
TheBruteblood type focuses on increasing your survivability in combat. The passive effects of this blood type make your character tanky, helping you stay in the middle of combat.
Where to get theBruteblood type: You can usually find enemies with the Brute blood type patrolling around encampments, roaming around the map’s paths, and human settlements.
Rogueis a blood type that increases your critical strikes and making enemies vulnerable, making this a good choice of blood if you choose to wield ranged weapons.
Where to get theRogueblood type: Rogue enemies are usually hostile units that use ranged attacks on you. They usually are grouped up with Brutes and Warriors.
TheMutantblood type increases your survivability by slowing down the blood’s drain rate, increasing your resistance, etc., that will help you while exploring the world of Vardoran and its harsh environment.
Where to get theMutantblood type: You can find Mutant creatures running around in the Gloomrot Region, which is found in the northwestern-most part of Vardoran.
TheDraculinblood type increases your character’s vampiric characteristics. It focuses on making you move faster during nighttime, amplifying restoration from blood, etc., which enhances your playstyle as a vampire.
Where to get theDraculinblood type: You can usually find Draculin enemies in the Hallowed Mountains region.
Once you have progressed far enough into the game, you will be able to buildPrison Cellsin your castle. You can imprison humans that have the blood type and blood quality that you like. Prison Cells can be made with (resources here). You can build a lot of Prison Cells to store all the different blood types, which will give you the option to make aBlood Potionfrom prisoners if you’re carrying anEmpty Glass Bottle. Your character can then drink it to not only to replenish your Blood Pool, but also to get the blood type and blood quality of the prisoner.
You can start finding enemies with the blood type you want by roaming around the areas I mentioned earlier, then using theBlood Hungerability. This ability lets you see an overlay that shows the blood type and quality of all the creatures in your screen. This makes it easier so that you will save time trying to find the ones with the highest blood quality of the blood type that you want.
When you find a human target that has the blood type and blood quality you want, you can use theDominate Humanability to charm them, then sending them to an empty prison cell by walking back to your castle, or by using aDusk Calleron the charmed unit to teleport them to an empty prison cell in your castle. This is the same process as getting aServant, although you will put the charmed human in a prison cell instead of aServant Coffin.
However, you just can’t keep makingBlood Potionsfrom prisoners without depleting them. When you open the interface for the prison cell, you will see that the prisoner has a health bar in the middle which will be reduced every time you make a Blood Potion,Blood Merlot, or extractBlood Essencefrom them. Once their health bar reaches zero, they will die. You can replenish their health by giving them any kind offish orfeed them with arat.
Also, there is a mechanic,Misery, that increases every time you do the actions I stated earlier.Miseryincreases the damage that a prisoner takes when you extract their blood. You can lower this by giving them fishes that reduces Misery, likeRainbow Troutwhich reduces Misery by 10%-15%.
If you want to upgrade a prisoner’s blood quality, you may do so by feeding themIrradiant Gruel. This can increase a prisoner’s blood quality by 1%-2%, but there will be a 35% chance that they will turn into a mutant. You can do this repeatedly until the prisoner turns into a hostile mutant. I would recommend that you do this if your prisoner is at around 98%-99% blood quality, otherwise, the odds wouldn’t be in your favor.
There are certain fish that can reduce a prisoner’s Misery. However, you may find fishing to be tedious, as you can’t fish in one spot. You have to keep moving between the bodies of water to catch fish. In order for you to avoid doing this and keeping it somehow automated, you can send your servants to raid in locations wherein fish can be obtained as a resource reward. These spots are theFishing Lakein Farbane Woods,Brighthaven Docksin Silverlight Hills, andMosswick Villagein Dunley Farmlands. If the raid is successful, you will get enough fish to sustain your blood farm.
If you’re looking to find the best prisoner to sustain your thirst for high-quality blood, you can useBlood Hungerwhilehorseback riding. This way, you can cover a lot of areas while also scanning every creature for their blood type and quality. You don’t have to manually look at everyone’s blood attributes, so it won’t be as tedious as you think.
This wraps up our guide onAll Blood Types in V Rising and Where to Find Them. Next up, we’ll be talking about a stronger variant of Blood in V Rising, which is theV Blood. Make sure to check this guide out, as this is vital to your characters progression in V Rising.
