Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Unveils Fourth Playable Clan Ventrue
The fourth playable clan for the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been revealed as the Ventrue.
In the dark and intriguing world of The Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the esteemed Ventrue clan emerges as the fourth and ultimate group revealed for the anticipated game. In contrast to the surprise introduction of theBanu Haqimduring the PC Gaming Show, the unveiling of the Ventrue was more anticipated. Known as the aristocrats of the vampire world, the Ventrue are influential power players within the Camarilla, the governing body of vampire society. They are renowned for their commanding presence, having been a playable clan in the original game and were previously announced for the initial version of Bloodlines 2.
While we won’t see the Ventrue in action until next year, we do get a new image of the Ventrue vampire plus some concept art. Playing as the Ventrue players will get to mesmerised mortals and vampires alike, getting them to obey their command. If you do come across an individual whose resolve is robust enough to withstand such influence, you can enhance your own resilience by feeding to build up Fortitude, just in case things turn into a fight to take more damage.
The Ventrue sounds like a clan to choose if you prefer taking more of a pacifist approach to getting out of certain situations or simply letting the victim take care of themself. As this is the final playable clan to be revealed, some might be a little disappointed you won’t be able to play as the Malkavian at launch. There are two more clans that will arrive with the DLC post-launch, so there’s still hope you might get to play as them later.
Recently developer The Chinese Room revealed the Banu Haqim clan as playable in Bloodlines 2. These vampires take to stealth as assassins that lurk in the shadows. Players will take up therole of Phyre, who can choose from four playable vampire clans, which will shape gameplay and options. There are four playable clans in total. The Brujah specialises in melee attacks while the Tremere which can turn blood into dagger-like throwable weapons. There’s also the Banu Haqim which can stalk their prey and assassinate.
The Chinese Room previously introduce themain character Phyrea grizzled veteran of the vampire world. Waking up many years later will put them in a position to decide who to side with, dealing with a much more modern world and how to navigate the clans. We also know that the game will haveRPG agency.
