Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 to Get Update this September
The elusive Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has finally gotten a small update with new screenshots. However new info is set to drop in September. Developer offers refunds due to long-awaited game is still a no-show.
It’s been a long bumpy road for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. But finally, we are getting some sort of update for the long-awaited RPG. Unfortunately, it’s not coming for another few months. Developer and publisher Paradox Interactive has stated that new information about the Action-RPG would be coming in September this year.
The game has been in development hell as it followed a delay after switching studios. Paradox acknowledges that fans might not be too thrilled with the long wait and are offering refunds for those who have pre-ordered any edition of the game. They are also in the process of updating editions and bonus content. This includes pre-orders for the physical editions as well as the Collector’s Edition. The digital versions of the game remain but if you want to gain a refund for the First Blood Edition, Unsanctioned Edition or Blood Moon Edition that’s now possible.
The big reveal will be coming later in September, but for now, fans can take a look at some newly released post-alpha screenshots. These are mostly atmospheric locations, showing gritty urban areas and what looks to be a downtown bar at Christmas. Interestingly the Steam page now only shows the new screenshots, removing all previous ones. While it may not be the huge update fans have been waiting for, at least there is news that more will be revealed later this year.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is an Action-RPG set in Seattle, taking place years after the events of the original game. It draws inspiration from the tabletop universe of the same name. In the game, players assume the role of a young vampire who has recently been turned. They awaken in a city where various vampire clans coexist with political factions, all engaged in a fierce battle for control. The gameplay combines stealth, first-person combat, and supernatural vampire powers, providing an immersive experience for players.
