Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Announces Its First Updates

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the successful third-person shooter, is listening to players and has announced numerous updates coming soon to improve the experience in different aspects.

On September 9th,Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2was released, a third-person shooter that has been met with great enthusiasm by both critics and players due to its fun gameplay and spectacular graphics.

Focus Entertainment is listening to the main complaints and requests from players in these early days following its release and has published a statement announcing the upcoming updates and improvements. These include fixing connectivity issues and improving the bots’ artificial intelligence.

First, they acknowledge that many players are experiencing server issues, with lost saved games or inability to connect with friends. So, they are increasing server capacity to reduce the load: “We are working day and night to reduce the issues. This is a top priority for the team. A larger patch is planned soon to further address this issue, along with new content.”

Which many players describe as inefficient and make solo play difficult. The developers admit that “the bots seem a bit passive because we don’t want them to overshadow the player.

However, they can sometimes be too passive. In the next patch, we will make some improvements to their behavior during boss fights in the campaign. We are also considering enhancing their participation in specific campaign objectives for a later patch.”

Players have also complained that the “veteran” difficulty is too hard when playing solo because the bots don’t help with objectives. So, in an upcoming patch, they will adjust the AI’s aggressiveness at this difficulty level, while leaving the other difficulty levels unchanged.

In an extensive post, the Focus team responds to all fan questions and requests, also addressing the multiplayer modes, both PvP and PvE, making it clear that they intend to keep improving the game in the coming months. As expected, there is an extensive roadmap for the next few months, with new content such as maps, missions, enemies, weapons, and a horde mode. All of this will come to the game for free, apart from paid DLCs.
