Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Prepares for Its Next Update
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2has confirmed the content coming next month, including a new Space Marine Chapter and a new PvE Operation, all part of the 5.0 update.
The new missions will be entirely free and available to all players, while cosmetic items will be paid content included in the game’s Season Pass. As the saying goes: the “bang-bang” is free, but the “shiny-shiny” comes at a price.
In addition to reviewing November’s updates—which brought weapon balancing adjustments and the addition of the Neo Volkite pistol—and thanking fans for Game Awards nominations, Focus has announced that December will kick off with new cosmetics.
The Dark Angels Chapter will be available to Season Pass holders. This cosmetic update introduces a new champion skin for the Bulwark (featured in the article’s header image), representing the Chapter of Primarch Lion El’Jonson.
In addition to the exclusive champion skin for the Bulwark, special Dark Angels-themed weapon skins will be available for the power sword, shield, bolter rifle, and plasma pistol. There will also be new skins for all Marines and fresh armor pieces, including the highly requested Mark VII helmet.
Another notable feature is the ability to tint helmet visors. Players will now have 15 different colors to customize the look of their Space Marines.
All players will have access toOperation Obelisk.Without diving into spoilers, this mission runs parallel to the campaign’s final events and introduces a new Chaos Majoris enemy that will now appear across all missions.
Currently, there is no specific release date for the 5.0 patch other than “December.” More details about this update are expected in the coming week.
