And as leaked a few weeks ago bythe official art book of the game, today it has been confirmed thatSpace Marines 2will have two different multiplayer game modes, much to the delight of fans of the game. Focus Entertainment andSaber Interactiveconfirmed it today duringWarhammer Skulls, where they presented two trailers, one for each of the game modes, which will be of very different nature.
Let’s start with the “Operations” mode, which is a completely new cooperative mode, where we can kill xenos accompanied by up to 2 friends. In this mode, in the PvE or against “the environment” mode, players will be able to face the campaign as a team, allowing their friends to take on the role of the Ultramarines accompanying Titus. You can see a preview below these lines.
The PvP game modes of the first Space Marine will also return, bringing back the iconic battles of the Space Marines against the Chaos Space Marines, with three types of 6v6 matches. These modes are Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture and Control. As in other action games with online mode, Space Marines 2 will have different character classes, such as the stealthy sniper (who can use his camouflage cloak), while the Bulwark tank can use a combat shield.
You can see some of these features in the first trailer just below these lines. Players will also be able to customize their Space Marines, from the helmet to the greaves, with a wide selection of colors, heraldic decals, gauntlets, and other options that will leave unique character designs.
The Season Pass will grant even more cosmetics, while new content, such as new missions, enemies, and weapons, will be available to all players through regular free updates.
