World Of Final Fantasy
Do you miss the retro Final Fantasy games from the SNES to the PS1 era? With the little chibi sprites and the old battle system?
The premise of the game is you play as a pair of siblings named Lann and Reyne who travel to the world of Grimoire to uncover memories of their past. The siblings encounter creatures and monsters known as mirages, and have the opportunity to befriend these mirages and use them in battle. Action points are used to summon mirages, and mirages can be stackable on each other and even at times perform a special attack with the right combination.
Overall this game looks to be a light hearted adventure into the history of Final Fantasy, filled with easter eggs and homages to the series. This game might be a fun introduction for your younger children to the Final Fantasy franchise and is definitely targeted at that younger demographic. What are your thoughts on this entry into the Final Fantasy pantheon? Sound off in the comments!

Been a Gamer since I could hold an Atari joystick. A game worshipper who has enjoyed and analyzed a many Games. Always wanting more of the games I love.
I was totally unaware of this title so I went ahead and watched a couple of videos about it. The Chibi designs certainly look adorable but I don’t really like the “normal mode” character design. The monster/mirage tower system seems pretty interesting too. I’ll keep an eye out for this one.
Speaking of Fanservice I would love if they Made an RPG Dissidia game on PS4 and XB1. Or a Game that Focuses on Radiant Gardens From Kingdom Hearts. Seeing all the Squeenix Characters like that would be awesome.
Given the price I am expecting a full blown game. But my expectations are low, I’m thinking of something akin to FFX-2 and FFXIII-2.
It does look pretty adorable. May be better for a family evening, I was a little surprised to see it at full retail cost. It must be a bigger game than it seems? I expected a 30-40$ pricepoint on it.
I still enjoy classic jRPG, currently working on Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter. Whatever they can do to scale up the resolution cleanly, or sharpen up textures is great. Old school sprite designs are fine, but I do prefer cleaner high-res.
I do want to pick up Adventures of Mana once I’m done with TitS:SC. If they bring WoFF to Android, maybe, depending on reviews. Higher priority things to play if I’m going to sit down at my PS4.
It seems little more than fan-service from previews but it may end up surprising when given hands on. I do like the aesthetic, lots of colour.
Hopefully it does more with the ATB system than I expect it to do.
