Wuthering Waves Verina Build Guide

Wuthering Waves Verina Build Guide

In thisWuthering Waves Verina Build Guidewe’re going to be covering a healer support build, for Verina. This build focuses on sustaining, and increasing the damage of the team.

Verina is a five star, standard banner character. She is obtained from the beginners banner, character selectors, or from losing your 50:50 chance on rate up banners like Jiyan’s. She’s a Spectro healer and buffer, that uses Rectifier weapon. She can have both burst healing, and sustained healing. And her Outro skill give a universal damage buff to the entire team.

Verina is the only five star specialized healer in Wuthering Waves at launch. There is Spectro Rover, who has one healing ability at S4. And there’s sword users, who may use healing sword, healing sets, and healing Echo skill for pseudo healing. And there’s Baizhi, a four star specialized healer. None of them offer similar sustain as Verina, so she’s the top of every support tier list at launch. Jianxin has a shield mechanic that come with some healing, but it’s more shield than heal, and prefer on-field playstyle.

Unless your main dps can sustain themselves, Verina is the ideal character in third team slot. She synergizes with any team, and not restricted by certain archetypes.

She has various ways to heal, on-field and off-field. With Resonance Liberation, with heavy attack, and with Outro skill. She cast a team-wide ATK buff, on using any of her heals. As well as casting team-wide DMG buff on Outro. That, on top of using healer set, that comes with another ATK buff. In addition to an Echo skill that buff damage and damage taken reduction. She also had death prevention passive, with ten minutes cooldown.

Verina has specifically good Concerto energy recovery, to help her charge Outro skill faster. This makes Verina finish rotation faster, and switch out faster. She takes minimum time on-field, and enable dps and other support characters to use that time instead.

Level and damage modifiers of this Basic Attack doesn’t add neither huge damage, nor any healing. Therefore, we can safely skip leveling Basic Attack.

In a typical rotation for Verina, we only use one heavy attack, after using skill. This enable consumption of her Forte stacks, and healing. After Heavy attacks, and while Verina has more Forte stacks, normal attacks in mid air consumes the stacks and heal. All of this healing scale with Forte skill, not Basic Attack modifiers.

A simple skill, that deal a little damage at range, and give back one charge on Forte bar. Use after swapping Verina in, then follow with Heavy Attack to consume the stack and heal.

Resonance skill has 12 seconds cooldown. In extreme cases where player take so much damage, we need to switch to Verina to use skill and heavy attack on cooldown. Otherwise, it’s a one use only every rotation.

Resonance Liberation of Verina is a burst healing, that also apply enable coordinated attack with active character, healing them. The coordinated attack lasts for 12 seconds, so it provide comfortable healing for damage the character yet to suffer.

I prefer leveling Resonance Liberation above all other skills on Verina. The healing has both, a fixed number, and a scaling component. Verina healing scales with ATK stat, which is an easy stat to get on weapon, and all Echo slots. It also scales with “Healing Bonus”, so it get quite high. The fixed number in early game though is huge boost before you build your Echoes, and it grows with Resonance Liberation level.

The energy cost is huge though, taking up to 175 Energy to cast. This amount might not be readily available in one rotation, and staying on field with Verina is a waste of dps. So it’s easier to get Verina Resonance Liberation every two rotations instead, and try not to take so much damage meanwhile. That’s easier than performing very tight rotations and going out of your way to build a ton of Energy Recharge.

At endgame though, with fully leveled weapon that have Energy Recharge stat, it gets smoother. So keep in mind that our Wuthering Waves Verina Build’s playstyle evolves even more.

The second source of healing in Verina’s kit, and the core part of her rotation. Verina has four stacks of Forte bar, she can build with Resonance Skill, Normal Attack 5, and Intro skill. So with minimum field time, Verina enters with Intro, and perform one skill, resulting into two stacks per rotation.

Verina consume the stacks by performing heavy attack, and follow with mid-air normal attacks. Verina Heavy Attack with a Forte stack have her charge at enemy, hit them, and jump back to mid-air. Normal attacks in this state has Verina staying in mid-air, and consume charges for healing.

Consuming Forte charges recover Concerto Energy on top of healing. It allow Verina to get her Outro skill rapidly, to ensure she can buff entire team.

This passive prevent death of one team mate. Instead of taking a fatal blow, character gets a shield that scales with Verina ATK. This shield has ten minutes cooldown, so it’s not overly useful in game modes that involve a lot of retries. But still useful once in a while.

Another20%ATK buff to all team members. This buff has long duration of20seconds, and proc on any healing action, including Outro skill. So if rotations done right, player might have infinite uptime on it. Verina herself benefit from the buff to increase her healing. This passive make her the most useful healer in terms of increasing team dps.

Intro and Outro skills needs fully charged Concerto energy to cast. They are important to trigger certain Echo Sets bonuses and weapons, And in case of our Wuthering Waves Verina Build, they tie with her buffs and Forte mechanic.

Deals damage and gain one charge of Forte bar. Nothing fancy here, so you should skip leveling this Intro Skill. In a typical rotation, Verina is the universal buffer, so we switch to her first after dps finish their rotation. This mean the dps character have most likely filled their Concerto bar, due to long field time.

So Verina in most cases enter with Intro skill. If Concerto is not full and dps character finished their rotation though, just switch her in normally. She doesn’t lose a great deal from missing Intro.

The final healing component in Verina’s build. It’s not a universal heal, but rather targeted heal to the next character. It’s also a universal15%DMG buff for 30 seconds.

So if your on-field damage dealer suffers a heavy health lose, switch to them with Verina Outro; Then switch to the support for further buffing. If your main damage dealer isn’t desperate for healing, Outro from Verina to the buffer, then your main damage dealer.

Verina always prefer quick swap style, where she come in, do some quick actions, and switch out. You barely see her on field, and she enable your other support and damage dealers to stay on field longer.

Her position is first in team rotation, as she buff entire team for longer time (up to 30 seconds). So you switch to other buffer, perform their rotation, then switch to damage dealer and Verina’s buffs still up.

While on-field, Verina wants to do the following:

It’s a very simple rotation, and if you lack concerto energy before Outro, just use some normal and heavy attacks to compensate. Then use Outro normally.

For this Wuthering Waves Verina Build, gear is a crucial part, and Weapon is a major part of gearing. Verina healing scales with ATK and Healing Bonus stats. So Verina cares about a weapon with high ATK, and Energy Recharge to use her costly Resonance Liberation.

Verina uses Rectifier, which has some interesting free and Gacha options for a healer.

The standard choice for shorter rotations, that gives12Concerto energy at S5 upon using Resonance skill. It has Energy Recharge stat, to help with Resonance Liberation. But it provide small base ATK, so it’s not the top healing option.

Same effect asRectifier of Voyager, but with four star stats. The base ATK is higher, the Concerto Energy regain is higher (at max refinement), and Energy recharge is higher.

It has same ATK and Energy Recharge stats asVariation, with different passive. This weapon is craftable, so you may get for free, or from four star weapon selector.

The passive here gives different bonus on Resonance Skill use, depending on user current HP. If HP is more than 60%, gives an ATK bonus. If HP is less than 60% heal the user. So it has the best of both worlds, and a very solid weapon.

Similar to Relics fromHonkai Star Rail, and Artifacts fromGenshin Impact, Echoes in Wuthering Waves Verina Build works as gear. We have five slots to equip echoes, but the difference is, we are not strict to use certain echoes in certain slots.

In total, character have12points to distribute among Echoes. Meanwhile, Echoes has three grades, Common (1cost), Elite (3cost), Boss/Overlord (4cost). So the ideal distribution in endgame is (4,3,3,1,1). However, in certain situations, some other setup is possible. Such as getting more Healing Bonus from (4,4,1,1,1) setup. This os not possible with Healing set, as Healing Set doesn’t have two bosses. But With hybrid set, or Energy Set it’s achievable.

In this Wuthering Waves Verina Build we aim to get these healing main stats:

Note that ATK % and Energy Recharge on Cost 3 Echoes is pretty rare (Cost 3 Echoes has extra 7 stats in the rolls pool). So if we stick with Healing set, and can’t use (4,4,1,1,1), we might resort to(4,1,1,1,1)or(4,3,1,1,1)temporarily. This depends on how many Cost 3 Echoes with ATK or Energy Recharge stat we get our hands on.

Verina needs a massive Energy Recharge to refund her 175 cost Resonance Liberation. So for fully optimized rotation, she can sacrifice healing power (Through ATK%) for Energy Recharge.

The absolute best Echo skill for Verina and all healers isBell-Borne Geochelone. It’s and Echo obtained from the turtle boss that drops weekly materials. The boss is farmable easily, and can drop into one of two sets, Energy Set, or Healing Set.

The Echo skill of this boss is a team wide buff, that reduces damage taken by50%, and increases damage dealt by10%. It’s massive defensive and offensive bonus, which lasts for 15 seconds, no other Echo skill can outperform.

Echoes split into certain sets, and some echoes capable of rolling into one of two sets. So it adds another layer of complexity to our Wuthering Waves Verina Build.

The best choice is five pieces Healing Set, due to healing increase, and team wide ATK buff upon healing. This set may proc from off-field by Verina coordinated healing. So the uptime of the buff is much higher than it appears.

Unlike dps characters, healers such as Verina doesn’t seek a lot of stats and sub stats. So hybrid sets is not recommended beyond very early game. So we stick to Healer set, or in niche cases, Energy Set.

Teams in Wuthering Waves consist of three characters, and to build Verina right, we have to pair two suitable companions. Verina wants takes no field time and doesn’t do prolonged combos. So she open up the team building wide open for any two characters to fill the two spots.

She can take either two dps characters, or one dps and one support. These characters could be of any archetypes, and Verina would do her duty, and not fall short.

Think of someone, anyone, and Verina can pair with. A Resonance Liberation dps such asCalcharo, check. A Forte dps such asHavoc Rover, check. A Resonance Skill dps such asDanjin, check. Even though at S5, Danjin wants her HP to remain lower than 60% for Max dps, Verina can be conserve her healing, and still work as a buffer for her.

In the future, when Wuthering Waves release characters that scale damage with Def or HP stats, Verina usefulness with these characters will be a bit less. But it’s not until they release full support healers that buff certain characters, so Verina then loses her very top position as best third slot in almost any team.

Due to Tower of adversity requiring two teams in endgame, and three teams at very late endgame (level 100 bosses). Verina can’t slot in all three teams, so you have to pick which team need her the most. Naturally, the less tanky team, that require more healing, and the team that doesn’t have top dps to kill enemies before enemies kill them.

This slot is easy, you pick whoever buff the dominant type of damage, So for Havoc Rover, who does mainly normal Attack damage, use Sanhua. For Calcharo who deal electro and Resonance Liberation, use Yinlin. Or use universal buffers who have a useful buff for everyone, such as Yangyang who restore Energy.

Verina is best character to pick from Five star selector, so make sure to so. As a five star standard character, you may get Sequences (dupes) for her from losing 50:50 on limited characters. This would help her stay on top of her game for even longer time. Verina’s Sequences give her more healing and Concerto energy and make rotation even shorter.

In Tower of Adversity, use her on the harder floors. On easy sides, you may use any other healer, such as Baizhi, since one character can’t do all sides of the tower. On open world and farming though, Verina is the ideal pick for any team.
