The dev team released this message to fans:
Hello XCOM fans,
We want to give you an update on the release date forXCOM 2. We’ve set a high bar for the sequel and the entire team has been working hard to make sure we deliver a great follow-up toEnemy Unknown. We just need a little more time to make it the best possible game.
WithXCOM 2, we want to have more depth, more replayability, and more investment in your soldiers and this extension will give us the time we need to deliver on our promise to you.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we move towards February. Good luck, Commander!

Small delays are often the difference between an incomplete game and polished finished product. We’ll continue to keep you posted on the game’s progress. In the meantime, keep checking ourXCOM 2 Wikifor up to date info.

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.
I’m actually glad it was delayed. I was trying to figure out how I was going to play it and Fallout 4 at the same time lol. Now I don’t have to!!

Well, I think there is enough time to play Fallout 4 without any… interruption… lolIn my calendar, there’s not much difference between November and February; I tend to be very busy.Enemy Unknown was great enough to keep me waiting for another XCOM game. Didn’t try the Declassified though.
I had the same reaction with the Bloodborne and Witcher delays.True loveTrue Fans waits!
I’d rather they take their time and release a polished product, rather then rush the game out half-finished. If it’s worth playing, it’s worth waiting for. Meanwhile, may as well reinstall Enemy Within and the Long War mod and brush up while I have time.
