Zelda Echoes of Wisdomhas released a gameplay video of over five minutes explaining the features of the new installment of the saga for Nintendo Switch, starring Princess Zelda.
The new installment marks a milestone for the saga by making the princess a playable protagonist. The Nintendo Switch release is gearing up for its launch at the end of September.
Nintendo has released a new preview of the game, delving into many of its key aspects. The empty world of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom will be the great threat that the princess must face to protect Hyrule.
The gameplay has shown what it will be like to navigate through this dangerous world, but that’s not all—it also provided a good look at mechanics like the swordsman mode, new intriguing characters, and a very epic final moment.
Zelda’s powers will be crucial in this adventure if she hopes to survive the dangers of the empty world, which will house the most challenging dungeons in the game, as well as bosses in a classic format reminiscent of Zelda Link’s Awakening.
Besides this new reality, the game introduces many more details, such as the swordsman mode, where Zelda will transform into an armed spirit (very similar to Link) and be able to fight monsters directly. However, this mode will be limited, and players will need to carefully choose when to use it.
Fortunately, the princess will have the help of various characters, including one who will craft powerful artifacts known as automatons, which will be valuable allies.
There is still much to discover about Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, but the end of the trailer already hinted at an epic confrontation between the heroine and the hero of the saga. A corrupted Link will threaten Zelda at some point in the adventure.
Zelda Echoes of Wisdom has confirmed that it will offer a combination of the two styles that have defined the saga over the years, merging the traditional structure of puzzles, items, and dungeons with the creativity of Breath of the Wild, giving players many more tools to use.
