A new trailer has been released for the upcoming isometric RPG Zoria: Age of Shattering which features the game’s tactical combat, outpost management, exploration of its fantasy world and more.
In Zoria, your mission is to put together a formidable team of four, comprising of the finest warriors and mages. The plan is to free the Kingdom of Zoria from the clutches of the hellspawn infesting its lands. The once verdant forests, grand structures, and bustling towns have now become ominous and perilous places to cross.
The game will feature turn-based mechanics and an ever-changing environment, meaning you will need to keep your wits about you. In a recent Q&A video developer Tiny Trinket pointed out players will need to watch their steps as the next could mean the difference between peril and survival. The trailer shows some of the foes that inhabit the land, which includes ferocious fire-breathing dragons. But dragon breath isn’t the only danger to watch out for as there are plenty of enemies to challenge your team.
Skills shown in the trailer range from AOE defences such as healing and buffing, but also a mix of ranges weapons plus more. Buffs such as Arcane Power or summoning an Arcane Sentry to deal AOE damage are all possible. Cooking skills also play a part in adventuring, as upgrading this will allow for more use of materials found in the wild. Being prepared with supplies will be key for survival as the party members cannot restore their own vital resources.
Players will control a party of four heroes, as they explore the hellspawn-ridden world. Using their prowess to craft and survive the elements. Both equipment and vitality will degrade over time, which adds further pressure to combat. The games take elements that are similar to XCOM or evenBaldur’s Gate 3but adds its own fantasy flavour. Players can manage their base and send their heroes on autonomous missions. Some characters can even unlock new areas and quests.
If you can’t wait to jump into the game there is currently ademo on Steam.
